                                                 This module covers the principles, purpose and function of Standard Method of Measurement                                                         (SMM2) including measurement principles, descriptions and standard phraseology. It also covers                                                   the measurement of simple excavation trenches, pits, foundations, pilecaps, reinforced concrete                                                   frame and floors including roof slabs.

TASK:

In this assignment, we are supposed to measure the complete taking off for the structural building. This is a group assignment, so we are divided into 5 person to measure each.

 

1. Pad footing including the excavation from reduce level

2. Work below ground floor level including site clearance and excavation

3. Ground beam including the excavation

4. Roof beam

5. Upper roof beam and column

 

I was arranged to measure the gound beam.

 

 

 

 

Learning Outcome:

 

In ths assignment, we are able to measure the drawing and need to know  the principles, purpose and function

of Standard Method of Measurement (SMM2) including measurement principles, descriptions and standard

phraseology. Futhermore, we have learnt the measurement of simple excavation trenches, pits, foundations,

pilecaps, reinforced concrete frame and floors including roof slabs during the lecture and tutorial, these are

all necessity for us when measuring this assignment.

 

                         Morever,this assignment help us to develop and reinforce our thinking and problem solving skills by thinking                                 critically in order for us to overcome each hurdles that we faced while accomplishing the project.When we face                           the difficult things or problem,we can able to solve it.

 

Communication is the necessity for this assignment because this is a group assignment, we need to

communicate with other group member and discuss the details of the drawing. It can improve our

communicated skills and promote our relationship.
