RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The module intends to introduce students to academic research and provide some in-depth understanding of the research methodology. The module covers the process and techniques of research, research design, identification of research areas and the preparation of research proposal. At the end of the course, students should be able to identify issues, problems and areas of research, identify relevant data and information required for the research, develop data collection techniques, design research process and prepare research proposal.
Students should also be able to seek information from a variety of sources, open to new ideas and have the capacity for self-directed learning, look for alternative ideas and solutions, present information and express ideas clearly, effectively and confidently and act ethically with integrity and social responsibility.

In order to champion the usage of BIM, CIDB cooperated with the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) had organised a lot of activities including seminars, BIM Bootcamp session and training course for contractor and other professionals during 2015 (CIDB, 2016). Learning Outcome:
In this project, I was able to put theories that I learnt during lectures and tutorials into implementation as I am able
to identify issues, problems and areas of research, identify relevant data and information required for the research,
develop data collection techniques, design research process and prepare research proposal. Not only that, we also
learnt to seek information from a variety of sources, open to new ideas and have the capacity for self-directed learning,
look for alternative ideas and solutions, present information and express ideas clearly, effectively and confidently and act ethically with integrity and social responsibility.

It also requires us to use ICT and related technologies effectively. This is because we have use various sources such as books, journal articles, etc. from the internet in order for us to search and find for relevant information that is based on our topic.
