The subject will cover the measurement of bored piles, renovation and demolition works and various elements of external works. It also covers introduction on the principles of specification writing, form of specification writing and their uses for the various trades.
Group Assignment
Task
In this project, we were required to prepare Bills of Quantities and culminating in the preparation of a set of Tender Documents for calling of tender for a double storey bungalow. Our group consist of 7 members and we had chosen the proposal to build one unit of double storey bungalow Summervale Type D at Mukim Lenggeng, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan Darul Ehsan as our project.
Beside that, we were required to present the completed tender document to the client .This assignment had helped us to understand and practice more on the preparation of tender documents and bill of quantities. Furthermore , also enabling us to do all measurement based on the ‘Malaysian Standard Method of Measurement of Building Works – Second Edition (SMM2).
Learning Outcome:
In ths assignment, we are able to measure the drawing and need to know the principles, purpose and function of
Standard Method of Measurement (SMM2) including measurement principles, descriptions and standard phraseology. Futhermore, we have learnt the measurement of bored piles, renovation and demolition works, and various external works during the lecture and tutorial, these are all necessity for us when measuring this assignment.
Morever,this assignment help us to develop and reinforce our thinking and problem solving skills by thinking critically in order for us to overcome each hurdles that we faced while accomplishing the project.When we face the difficult things or problem,we can able to solve it.
Communication is the necessity for this assignment because this is a group assignment, we need to
communicate with other group member and discuss the details of the drawing. It can improve our
communicated skills and promote our relationship.

ELEMENT COST ANALYSIS ( ECA )
During the elemental cost analysis week ( ECA week ), we are required to attend ECA workshop where a group of up to 10 students will prepare detail cost analysis of a building project culminating in the preparation of a ECA report for Gamuda Walk located in Kota Kemuning. It's a community mall where have shops for Grocery, Foods and Beverages, Gifts and souvenir, entertainment and office suites.
I was being assigned to be a leader for Group A, it is definitely not an easy task but I would like to thank my group members from the bottom of my heart for making this project a success and not forgetting the lecturers who came and provide us provide us guidance.
