The module progresses through the stages of dewatering in basement excavation where water table is high above the basement floor level; various types of retaining walls, drainage, roadwork, common industrialized building systems, curtain walls for multi-storey commercial buildings, façade system, prestressing involving pretension and post-tension method, bridge construction, tension membrane roof and steel roof trusses.
Group Assignment
In this assignment, we will need to form a group each comprising of 7 students. Each group will receive a tender invitation. We shall follow the instruction given in the tender invitation to obtain a complete tender document. In this group project we are asked to obtain the tender document, quotation of estimating, prepare a complete estimated price for submission and a presentation for the client and company director. Each or our member will carry one element and estimate the the price for the project.

Moreover, we had to find quotations from various suppliers in the market in order to obtain the best possible price and followed by doing build up rates. Not only that, we also need to know how to price for preliminaries, prime cost sum and so on. We also required to prepare all the appendices for the tender document. Basically, we had learnt how to tender a project based on the instruction given.

Unfortunately, our tender price doesn't reach the requirement of the client and lack of cover letter. Thus, not being awarded the project. We learnt that winning the tender is not everything but the spirit to win is what's more important.
Learning Outcome
In this assignment, we need to be able to obtain as many quotations as possible to estimate for the lowest price. Besides that, I was able to put theories that I learnt during lectures and tutorials into implementation as I was able to to estimate the unit rates using the quotations received and complete the tender document.

Morever,this assignment help us to develop and reinforce our thinking and problem solving skills by thinking critically
in order for us to overcome each hurdles that we faced while accomplishing the project.When we face the difficult
things or problem,we can able to solve it.

Communication is the necessity for this assignment because this is a group assignment, we need to
communicate with other group member and discuss the details and contents of the video. It can improve our communicated skills and promote our relationship.
