This module provides an overview of professional and contractual responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor in the consultancy setup from the inception stage to the final account stage. It focuses on the importance of a clear understanding of the organization and contract administration of quantity surveying practices and the legal and contractual procedures in relation to built environment.
Assignment 1 – Seminar Presentation
This assessment is in a form of seminar presentation. Each seminar leader will be given approximately 15 minutes to present their topic. After the presentation, the seminar leader is required to ask two questions for discussion and the class is required to ask at least two questions to the seminar leader. The main aim is to train us to speak in front of a group of people and engage in a meaningful discussion.

Learning Outcome:
In this assignment, I was able to put theories that I learnt during lectures and tutorials into implementation as I am
able to understand the procedure preparing the final account and apply it in different project in order for the project
to run smoothly and prevent any miscommunication and conflicts between each other. Not only that, we also learnt
different clause in PAM 2006.
Morever,this assignment help us to develop and reinforce our thinking and problem solving skills thinking critically in order for us to overcome each hurdles that we faced while accomplishing the project.When we face the difficult things or problem,we can able to solve it.
Communication is the necessity for this assignment because this is a group assignment, we need to
communicate with other group member and discuss the details of the project. It can improve our
communicated skills and promote our relationship.
Assignment 2 – Preparation of Final Accounts
We were required to prepare the final accounts based on the conditions of contract. The main aim of this group assignment is to help us develop a deeper appreciation of the concepts learnt in the module by applying them in the problems given in the assignment.
