Information Literacy equips students with the knowledge and skills required to navigate the available information to support written, visual and verbal communication. The latest ICT and AV technologies will be introduced to students as the aids in visualizingtheir presentations in video, poster and oral presentations. The skills and tools used in selecting the appropriate resources for thier presentations in written or oral format which includes literature reviews and referencing skills. The interpersonal skills and confidence will be built up in students to communication and information technology in the global context with ethical practices of information access and use in order to achieve their objective.
Assignment 1
Students are required to form pairs of two (2) or a maximum of 3 people in a group. In your respective pair, you are required to present your literature search in a specific presentation format (scientific poster and oral presentation of the poster topic). Each pair is to come up with ONE scientific poster based on a selected literature topic that is relevant to the main theme provided in the next section. However for the oral presentation, it should be presented individually. The assessment marks will be shared by all group members for Poster designing (10%) while the assessment marks will be based on each individual student’s presentation for Oral component (10%).
